1. What types of effects can Entertainment Effects provide?
We supply a wide range of spectacular flame and pyrotechnic effects, from flame jets and spark machines to CO₂ bursts and fully bespoke show sequences. Whether it’s a team entrance, product launch, or a fountain show, we design effects that elevate the atmosphere and bring your event to life.
2. Are your effects safe to use in close proximity to the public?
Yes. Safety is at the heart of everything we do. All our equipment is industry-certified and operated by trained professionals. We carry out detailed risk assessments for every venue and effect, ensuring that all operations meet the highest safety standards.
3. Are your technicians qualified?
Our technicians are trained and highly experienced in delivering live effects in a wide variety of environments. You’ll always have specialists overseeing installation, firing, and safety operations at every point of your show.
4. Can your effects be used indoors and outdoors?
Many of our effects are suitable for both indoor and outdoor use, depending on the structure and vertical clearance. We’ll advise on the best and safest options for your specific location.
5. How much space do the effects require?
Each effect comes with its own set of technical requirements. We provide detailed specifications for height, safety distances, heat radius, and positioning so you know exactly what will work. This often involves us coming to complete a site visit where we’ll offer recommendations.
6. Can the effects be choreographed to music or lighting?
Yes. Our systems allow precise synchronisation with audio, lighting cues, and other show elements. Whether you want a dramatic building sequence or a impactful moment, we can programme and deliver it seamlessly.
7. What do you require from the venue/client?
Typically, we need access to power (effect dependent), allocated positions for our vehicle / equipment and coordination with your event operations team. Any additional requirements will be communicated clearly during the planning process.
8. Do you create custom designs?
We do. Entertainment Effects specialises in tailored effects that match your team’s identity and energy. From the Scottish Saltire made from smoke at Murrayfield, to flaming W’s at Wolverhampton Wanderers, we design impactful shows that are unique to your brand.
9. What is the setup and de-rig process like?
Our crew manages everything from delivery and setup to operation and de-rig. Setup usually takes between 1–3 hours depending on the scale of the show, with de-rig completed shortly after the show ends.
10. Do you require a power source to be provided?
For stage effects we need to plug into power (Sparkular, Smoke Jets & Confetti blasters), whereas our stadium effects are self-powered (Pyro & Flames). Any power requirements will be discussed during the booking process.
11. Are you insured?
Yes. Entertainment Effects carries comprehensive public liability insurance up to the value of £10m for all our equipment and operations. Insurance certificates are available upon request.
12. How do you price your services?
Costs vary depending on the effects chosen, staffing, travel, and whether you’re booking a single show or a few. We offer clear, competitive pricing and can tailor packages to suit your budget and schedule.
13. How does weather impact outdoor effects?
Some pyrotechnic elements have weather limitations, particularly with wind and rain. We’ll advise you on the best options and prepare alternative solutions to ensure your event remains safe and impressive in any conditions.
14. Have you worked with large clubs, companies and venues?
Yes. Entertainment Effects has an extensive track record delivering flame, pyrotechnic and water displays for a wide range of clients. From flames at premier league football matches, to dynamic fountains at winter walks, there’s not a lot we wouldn’t get involved with. Check out a selection of our previous clients here.
15. What are you doing to offset the environmental impact of your products?
Since 2019, we’ve been calculating and offsetting our carbon emissions. We believe that we are the first UK special effects company to implement such a policy and we’re proud to be leading the way in the sector on this important environmental matter. 16. What's the difference between Pyrotechnics and Fireworks?
There isn’t one! Pyrotechnics is defined by the “making of or displaying fireworks.” We use only single shot, zero debris products rather than messier multi-shot fireworks that you might see at your local display.
