There’s something spectacular about a water show. If you haven’t yet experienced the breathtakingly creative wonder of light and water effects combined, check out our selection of the best, bucket-list water shows from around the world.

1.   Circuito Magico del Agua, Lima, Peru

Illuminated fountains don’t get more spectacular than this. Set within the 19-acre Parque de la Reseva, the Circuito Magico del Agua (Magic Water Circuit) is a must-see for anyone visiting Lima. There are thirteen water displays to see, including a maze, water tunnel and the colourful, 120-metre fountain that forms the Fuente de La Fantasia, a light and water show accompanied by traditional Peruvian music.

2.   Illumination of the Falls, Niagara Falls, Canada and USA

Niagara Falls is one of the most breath-taking sights in the world. As night falls, watch in awe as the 51-metre waterfall is illuminated to highlight the Falls in all its splendour.

3.   Font Magica de Montjuic, Barcelona, Spain

The Font Magica, or Magical Fountain, was built way back in 1929 for that year’s International Exhibition. Restored in 1992 for the Barcelona Olympics, this awe-inspiring fountain plays host each year to the “Piromusical”, a spectacular light, music and firework display to close the city’s La Mercè festival.

4.   Dubai Fountain, Dubai

The Dubai Fountain is the tallest choreographed fountain system in the world. Based in the Burj Lake, the fountain covers an area the size of two football pitches, with waterjets reaching heights of 140 metres, and the nightly light and water show is visible from up to 30km away. We recommend getting a little closer, however, to fully experience this unrivalled water show, with a trip on the Dubai Fountain Lake Ride.

5.   Banpodaegyo Bridge Moonlight Rainbow Fountain, Seoul, South Korea

With multicoloured water jets adorning the bridge over the Han River, this amazing, one-of-a-kind water feature is the longest bridge fountain in the world. Although it does operate during the day, the Moonlight Rainbow Fountain is best experienced after dark, when its colourful lights really come to life.

6.   Fountains of Bellagio, Las Vegas, USA

For a choreographed fountain show that never fails to impress, check out the year-round fountains of Bellagio in Las Vegas. This massively popular water show takes place in an 8.5 acre lake, with giant waterjets timed to the pulse of the music. Fun fact – at the Fountains of Bellagio, more than 17,000 gallons of water can be in the air at any one time.

7.   Vivid Sydney, Australia

This festival of music, light and ideas illuminates the landmarks of Sydney for three weeks every May and June. Last year, one of the absolute highlights was Oracle Liquid, an aquatic wonderland of water features in the shape of jellyfish and coral. What’s in store this time around? Head down to the harbour from 24 May 2019 to experience Harbour Lights, a fantastic light and water display that incorporates the vessels moving through the water.

Dancing water fountains at Canary Wharf

Dancing water fountain displays for your next event

Run fountains continuously throughout your event or have one of our specialists programme them to run routines at set intervals. Each fountain contains multiple water jets that pulse on and off to create a variety of shapes and patterns, simulating the effect that the water is dancing. Illuminate the fountains with lights for dramatic effect and synchronise them to a music track to create your very own water show.
